That New Guy Music

I was super busy these past few weeks and totally forgot to post the traditional “Humpday Post” last Wednesday and again this Wednesday, damn I’m a slacker.. LOL!!!! To make up for it I’ll post 2 gems that no matter what, put me in a great mood, so rock out to these:

San Diego’s Greyboy, a Californian producer akin to the British acid jazz pioneer Gilles Peterson, smacks beat heads upside the head with his jazz-infused formula on his bad ass hip-hop instrumentals. One of my personal favs, featured on one of Mark Farina‘s earlier Mushroom Jazz Comps (Loving the New One!). Hearing this tune at the end made me go out and buy the record, but here’s just a tease.

The next one is just a great, timeless tune… This was written for 1967 Miles Davis CD “The Sorcerer” with his second classic group of Hancock, Williams, Carter, and Shorter. One of Herbie’s darker compositions but still very haunting and beautiful as always. Check out his website too, cool stuff on there.
